Peace of mind for your home and pets

Why I want to Home Sit

Having been a dog and cat owner for many years I miss the companionship of pet ownership. I initially started by looking after my Mum's tabby and friends' dogs, cats; fish & hamsters.
I then progressed to housesitting via the website and enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to set up more of a personal service for those whom I have already provided “sitting” services but also for those friends and family to whom they have referred me to look after their own pets and homes.
I now have the freedom, independence and flexibility to visit new places and enjoy looking after others’ pets.

Why Me?

Having used home and pet sitters myself, I understand that our pets are precious family members, hence I think it's very important to provide peace of mind to owners that their pets are safe; well looked after and happy.
Therefore, I provide regular updates through Skype/Facetime; emails or phone calls to ensure that you too are happy that your pets are being well looked after. Being fit and active means that if your dogs require long(er), walks then they will certainly be well looked after.
My mother owns a Springer who even after 2+ hours of walking along beach fronts is still bounding up and down like Tigger wanting more!

I have known Andy for ten years after meeting him through his brother with whom I worked for 14 years. Both brothers are of of the highest integrity! Prior to Andy joining this site, we have asked him to housemind our place on several occasions when we have been away on holiday - so what greater reference can I give him in this context! Andy loves sport and is an active member of the Bristol Rugby Referres Society of which he was Chairman for a number of years. I have enjoyed extended time in Andy's company on ski and summer holidays. He always takes his responsibilities very seriously and is much travelled, well educated, caring, thoughtful and gregarious character that it is my great pleasure to have as a close friend. I don't have any pets but I would certainly trust Andy to look after my children!!!!
I was introduced to Andy some years ago through the Rugby Association and when I made plans to travel from Australia to the UK for an extended holiday with my family, he immediately stepped forward to offer us accommodation in his home on our arrival and travelled to London to meet us at the airport. This kindness and generosity is typical of Andy and he has never hesitated to go out of his way to give us any assistance we required during our extended overseas travels. As a family we spent a year house sitting in the UK, while also having house sitters take care of our own home and pets in Australia so we are aware of both sides of the coin when it comes to welcoming strangers into your home while you are away
I would have no hesitation in handing over my home, pets or even children to Andy as he is a thoroughly capable and reliable person who will take great care of your home and be able to deal efficiently with unexpected eventualities that may arise. Having seen Andy with his own dog I can happily attest to his love of animals and any you leave in his care will be well taken care of in your absence. If you choose Andy as your house sitter, and I recommend that you do, make sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy his company before you leave, or you may well find yourself not wanting to go.

As soon as Andy replied to our request for someone to come and look after our dog, Max, I knew he was just what we were looking for. This was the first time we were leaving him with someone other than family and we were going a long way from home for 2 full weeks. Andy's response was warm, enthusiastic and his references were glowing. He came up a couple of weeks before we were going away to meet us and Max and he was exactly as he appeared to be through his emails and phone calls. A very warm and friendly man who genuinely took a shine to Max. We chatted for quite a while before taking Max out for a walk and Andy seemed confident and more than capable of managing Max and our home.
From the first day of the sit, Max was happy to go out for walks with Andy which was something that we'd struggled with before... Max was usually very fussy about who took him for a walk and sometimes wouldn't even go with our kids if I was at home! He was even happy to sleep in the same room as Andy which, again was unusual. We had regular updates and photos sent to us from Andy and there were no problems at all. Together we put together a manual of how our appliances worked and which days the rubbish was being collected as well as dates and times gardener/cleaner/window cleaner etc were due to come. Also listed details of local dog-friendly places to take Max, vets details, emergency numbers etc etc which made Andy's stay easier. Having such confidence that our dog and our home were in safe hands enabled us to relax and really enjoy our holiday. We came home to a tidy house and a very happy, well looked-after dog. I would have no hesitation in contacting Andy again in the future.

Great to meet Andy, have to say he was efficient and made the whole princess of me going away stress free. He even had time to do a couple of small jobs around the house. Highly recommend him.

Another great dog and house sitting experience. Andy is always so reliable and trustworthy. It put me at ease to know that Andy had everything under control. The weekend went without a problem...

Andy was an excellent sitter who communicated well with us before, during & after the sit. We came home to happy dogs & a tidy house & hope he would consider sitting for us again.
